New article - Luftwaffe over Normandy on D-Day
With the 75th anniversary of D-Day approaching in less than a month's time, a wide variety of publications are being released. I am happy to have contributed an article to this body of material. Specifically, Larry de Zeng passed on a request from the Spanish military history magazine Desperta Ferro for an article on the Luftwaffe's preparations for the Allied landings and activities on D-Day. The article is 2,500 words long, so this is a short review for the general reader, but I was able to include some material on the Luftwaffe's flak force and other issues which is not mentioned often in the general literature.
See link to magazine issue description below: Desperta Ferro Contemporánea n.º 33 Abril 2019 Normandía (I). El asalto aerotransportado https://www.despertaferro-ediciones....otransportado/ The footnotes for my article, and all the other articles in this issue of Desperta Ferro, can be seen on their website: https://www.despertaferro-ediciones....-web-DFC33.pdf Regards, Dan
