Ofw Georg Spring 4/SG 77

Does anyone have details on this pilot, reputed to have been killed 26 June 1944? He was holder of the Ehrenpokal and DKiG

Re: Ofw Georg Spring 4/SG 77

Hi Chris,

You probably know already but just in case he was awarded the DKiG 17May43 as a Fw with 4./StG 77

During the re-organisation of the Luftwaffe ground attack forces on 18Oct43 4./StG 77 was re-designated 7./SG 10 (4./SG 77 was formed from 1./SG 4) so his unit assignments up until his service with 4./SG 77 can only be guessed at. Maybe a cadre of personnel from 4./StG 77 went to 4./SG 77?

Regards

Andy Fletcher
