JG 107 loss 29.01.1944
Gentlemen,
I´ve got the following datas about mentioned loss: Ofw. Hase(?), JG 107, Bf 109 E, crashplace Dahlheim (15 Km SSE of Koblenz, or the Dahlheim near Kassel?) Is it possible that parts of JG 107 were based in the Frankfurt/M. area and mentioned a/c was shot down by escort fighters during the 8. USAAF mission against Frankfurt? Any additional information is welcome Heuser |

Re: JG 107 loss 29.01.1944
Hi, guys
Bf 109E-7 WNr 4180 "Absturz nach Luftkampf" given as reason, so with a high degree of certainty this loss was inflicted by enemies. Regards, Andreas |

Andreas, Khorat,
thank you very much for these datas! Anything known about the fate of Hase? KIA? And does anybody have his first name? Regards, Heuser |

Re: JG 107 loss 29.01.1944
He is noted as KIA, and I guess the only way to get his first name is to:
1. Locate his Grablage (the Volksbund does not have him on their website/in their database) 2. Check with WASt The entire loss record is as follows: http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=108397 The reason for the (2) in the pilots name is that there are multiple persons with the family name Hase and no given name in my database. Re: JG 107 loss 29.01.1944
Andreas,
thank you very much again. I´ve checked the VdK-database, too. But as far as I know the VdK don´t list persons which were buried in their hometown. And I don´t know why some KIA were buried near their chrashplaces, others at home... Best Regards, Heuser |
