Upcoming Violaero aviation titles (Dutch publisher)

Since we see a growing foreign interest in aircraft books published by the Dutch company Violaero, I'd like to start this topic.

The Dutch New Guinea book "Wachters boven het stenen tijdperk" was released in December. This book is about the Dutch naval airarm operating over New Guinea starting in 1926, the airwar during 1941-1945 and the first post war years up to 1950. Author: Bart Rijnhout, who published a great number of book about the Dutch naval airarm.
In this series a second volume is planned about the Dutch naval airarm operating over New Guinea. This book will cover the period 1950 - 1962.
The first volume was released in 2010 and is about the PBY Catalina in Dutch service (1941 to 1957). Final part will be about the Dutch Naval airarm on Java (Netherlands Indies, now Indonesia), period 1945 to 1950.

As we speak, the Fokker D.XXI book is being prepared for print. This book will reach stores by the second half of February.
The second Fokker G-1 book should be available by the end of this year, dealing with operational use and aircraft in Luftwaffe service.
Furthermore, the book "In dienst van hun naaste" is planned for the end of this year. This book will tell the story of the escape routes used by downed US Airforce personell and their Dutch helpers.

I am author of the Fokker C.5 book "Ontwikkeling, gebruik en ondergang". A second volume about the C.5 is planned, about foreign users (Bolivia, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands (Army aircorps, Netherlands Indies and Naval aircorps), Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland. The sales efforts to sell the C.5 is also mentioned, and finally an apendix about the entire line of Fokker reconnaissance models.

For the longer term more aviation titles are planned. More info will follow!

Re: Upcoming Violaero aviation titles (Dutch publisher)

From today, the Fokker D.XXI book is available!
It's nice to know, that the captions are also printed in English.
Available at the website of the publisher. It's the third part about the Dutch aircorps in 1940. The series now covers the Fokker C.V, G.I and D.XXI, the major types in service.

Re: Upcoming Violaero aviation titles (Dutch publisher)

Dear friends,
I am pleased to announce that the Dutch publisher Lanasta will produce a new series of aviation books under the title Warplane Power Pack. Titles will be in English (possibly, more specific Dutch subject will be presented in Dutch)

They will deal with single aircraft subjects and feature both profile art and detailed picture material.
First two titles are:
Martin Mariner
Hawker Hunter

Updates here;

Furthermore, a two volume book about the German Lufthansa during WW2 will be published. This will be the publishers first titles in the German language. Author is Werner Brittner, connected to the Lufthansa historical archives.

The one on the Martin Mariner sounds very interesting! Just give plenty of technical stuff (detail drawings, performance graphs, handling reports) and I'll buy a copy!

Re: Upcoming Violaero aviation titles (Dutch publisher)

A quick note to tell that the Martin Mariner book is now available for purchase (here, for instance: http://www.lanasta.eu/Shop/product/146/01-warplane.html)

The second part of the series is being prepared, as well as the third part, which will be about the Messerschmitt Me-109G/K family.

Best wishes,
Edwin
