October 25, 1927 Lieut. Frank Carlin Sutton USN incident

On October 25, 1927 Lieut. Frank Carlin Sutton had to bale out of an aircraft over San Diego, Calif. at 1,800 feet when his plane caught fire. He was rescued from the bay by navy tugs and was uninjured.

He was later Captain on the Escort Carriers Kadshan Bay CVE-76 and Saaginaq Bay (CVE-82)

I suspect he was flying Boeing Model 15 FB-5 A7107 but would like this be confirmed if possible
