Information about He 111 A1-AB
Hello everyone,
An He 111 (A1-AB wrk. nr. unknown) was damaged over Moscow on the night of 21-22 July 1941. It was piloted by Obfw. Willi Haug and belonged to KG53. Question: what degree of damage and which Gruppe/staffel did this aircraft belong to ? Thanks in advance oquaig |

Re: Information about He 111 A1-AB
Hi Oquaig,
FF Willi Haug belonged to 1.Staffel (I./Gruppe) his BO was Alfred Sticht. In the KG53 book by Heinz Kiehl, Sticht gives a report on this event. Their He111 is hit by Flak, nobody got wounded. The Flak experienced above Moscow was worse than the Flak over London. They would also be the crew of Staffelkapitän Hauptmann Emil Allmendinger, when he would lead the 1. Staffel on a mission. Regards, Thomas |
