Mystery 151 Squadron Hurricane nose-art

I am involved in some specific research centred around 151 Squadron Nov 1940 to December 1941 and wonder if anyone can fill in any missing details relating to this image?

I know who the two airmen are, but the question is; who flew this aircraft, and what is the name hidden by the airman's head? "Doteye"...."Scoteye"...? The latter may make some sense as it seems to be a Scottish thistle emblem, so perhaps also a clue as to the pilot?

Re: Mystery 151 Squadron Hurricane nose-art

hello Andy! a long shot here but................Hoot eye, is a rarely used Scottish phrase/saying, denoting Beware.... death is imminenent (or similar phrasology to that), I searched many possibles as it 'got hold of me' as it were! * this one sounds a possibility, as I dont have the pilots name was limited to ideas, but, is this any help?
Now, I wonder maybe, if you can help me a little?, if youd like to take a look at my query re: 2 x 615sqn Hurricanes collision on 5.2.41 in my posting of the 5th October. I can email you privately if you wish, all the best frankiestein

Disregard, I realise it's Squadron not Wing you are looking for. Apologies!
