Fi 156 Q8+SN

I would like to ask if anyone can understand which department is this plane. It's a Storch Fi156, Q8 + SN, looking a bit on the net I saw that the Q8 was paired with the 6 Seenotstaffel. But what does a storch have to do with the Seenotstaffel? perhaps this photo was taken in Veneto (Italy). The 6 Seenotstaffel was also in Venice ... but I don't know anything else.
Thank you

Re: Fi 156 Q8+SN

Salve Carlo,

Utility plane ?, probably code is uncomplete, Q8 stand for 6.SNSt., but SN hv to be the last 2 letters of the STKZ

Re: Fi 156 Q8+SN

Carlo,

Understand that most of the LW flying units did have one or more Liason Aircraft at their disposition for Meetings, taking airmen to leaves or to nearby towns, recovering (eventually) airmen behind enemy lines (Rudel do quote some cases of his pilots trying to recover him by a Storch), etc...Of course, am not a specialist...but this is my comprehension of what I have read so far...

Only the complete 6 NSt list on an official document will give us the clue to how many Liason aircraft they did had at their disposition (attached).

Most humbly yours,
A.
