US Army aviators - where to look?

I have came across two men, who seemingly do not appear in any returns for AAF. They are Fritz Hadden of Pasadena and Sigismund Benjamin Schloss. Interestingly I could not confirm the exostence of the former through cencuses, etc. I guess they could have been Grashopper pilots, but where to verify if it is the case?
TIA

Franek,

A starting point: https://www.artilleryocsalumni.com/

This website has WW II class rosters of artillery pilots and observers.

Franek,

Your Sigismund Schloss? See https://www.ancestry.com/1940-census...Schloss_3y37k3

Slightly different spelling of first name.

Re: US Army aviators - where to look?

There was a Lt. Fred Hadden who earned an Air Medal during the Normandy Campaign 1944.
These were given to artillery pilots/observers who had flown 30 (or 35?) missions.

Don't know if he is the Hadden involved and had adopted another first name to make it sound less German-like?

Regards,
Leendert

Thanks! I see a certain Hadden (not Fritz) but no Schloss. Back to the drawing board!
