found in jean höidal - dt. erkennungsmarken two units for 53577:

"Flg.Erg.-Kampfgruppe 2, 2. Staffel, Quendlinburg"
"Frontflg. Sammelgruppe, 2. Staffel, Dortmund"

but absolutely agree with john!!

As a matter of curiosity, since I do not collect EKMs, why do you suggest that one should not purchase/collect them?

because the trade in dog tags continues to promote the
plundering of (unknown) soldiers' graves!

so that many fates can no longer be clarified ...

just my opinion!!

Exactly.....during the course of the years after 1989 many graves in mainly Eastern Europe were plundered.....items, like decorations, Erkennungsmarke, etc. sold on the internet making identification during reburials at military cemeteries impossible.

Last year i found a EKM of a FF of ZG/26 .Uffz Schmidt is buried at Ysselstein graveyard .
Thanks to the Frankische Landeszeitung Ansbach and John Manrho it is now back by relatives and family.The story is published in Frankische Landeszeitung on 23 March 2019
The family was very thankfull to me. And that,s the way it should be.
