Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a line up of aircraft, predominatly Aviatik C.I at Sivry, so possibly FFA 62 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Jagdflieger-...YAAOSwFKlfJp5l

Can anyone read the serial on the second machine from the right, possibly C.4509/15 (?) or is it 4529?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Without checking I actually thought it looked more like C.4539/15....

However after checking Herris, C.4509/15 is the only option!

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hi Stig,

My first impression, like yourself without checking was 4529. Indeed based on the Aeronaut book 4509, appears to be the only option that makes sense. I just threw it out there as my 452*/16 column is completely bare and I guess I was hoping...

Clint

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hmmm

Sorry to say I don't keep my German lists that tidy.

Main problem is, whenever one just manage to see the main digits, the far more tiny /xx digits are completely out of reach.

Happy Days Clint

Cheers
Stig

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of Aviatik C.I (Han) C.2786/16 or C.2768/16 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Orig-Foto-de...oAAOSwQgVfUoxd

In the background is an Albatros C.I C.470/15 (?).

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hello

Currently on ebay is a photo of the wreck of Aviatik C.I C.844/15 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/2x-Fotos-1-W...gAAOSwN6hgIWO4

Possibly the aircraft was operated by FA (A) 218 as the same seller has a photo of a crashed AEG G type captioned in the same handwriting and this unit is mentioned.

The photo of the Albatros in the roof is seen more frequently.

Clint

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hello,

Currently on ebay are two photos of Aviatik C.I, at least one of which shows aircraft C.837/15 and possibly duplicates a photo from earlier in this thread. The photos are at:

Re: Photo Aviatik C.I

Hello,

Currently on ebay are photos of Aviatik C.I at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/384520528175...8AAOSw8zZhnSsB

https://www.ebay.de/itm/133943508481...IAAOSwM~BhnSqj

https://www.ebay.de/itm/384520522355...wAAOSwvVZhnSqg

These are captioned as belonging to FA(A) 262.However, a photo of C.1409/15 can be found in Aeronaut's WWI Photo Photo Extra vol.2 where it is captioned as FFA 8b.So has anyone any unit attribution for C.3505/15?

The seller has other photos, including a Pfalz possibly of FA(A) 262 aircraft, possibly not at:

https://www.ebay.de/sch/m.html?item=...w=262&_sacat=0

Clint
