HI all,
I am searching for photo of Oblt. Hans Heinz Helferich, a 9./ZG 26 veteran of Afrika. Anyone can assist please? Thanks and regards Peter

Hello Peter,
I have a book about the history of III./ZG 26 by JL Roba. But no picture to be found of Helferich. Just a brief a discription about his time with the unit. But that’s something you already will know. Sorry, kind regards. Dirk

Hey Peter,
A little bit late, but here it is: He joined 9./ZG 26 on 18 october 1942, transfered to the 6./ZG 76 on 10 August 1943. At some point he transfered to ZG 76 and became St.Kap. - 1./ZG 76. Shot down by P-47 in the area of Koblenz/Bonn/Gelnhausen on the 4 october 1943. So that’s it. Perhaps more can be found in L.de Zeng career Summaries Luftwaffe Officers. Kind regards, Dirk
