Re: He 162, Werk-Nr. 12009
Hi digedag1,
I never see a He-162 with a Werk-Nr serie 12000! Ernst Heinkel produced in Rostock the Volksjäger with the Werk-Nrn 120XXX... May be you are talking about an aircraft from the serie 12009X (120091, 92, 93, 95, 97, 98 and 99 where identify and registred in the literatur)? Do you have a picture of that plane or more information/reference about your He-162? Best regards Pascal |

Re: He 162, Werk-Nr. 12009
Sorry,
on the tail is painted 12009 (last number poor visible). Found by American Troops on Magdeburg airfield during their advance to the river Elbe. With destroyed parts of the fuselage. digedag1 |

A picture is much better than words... Could you show us a scan ?
Magdeburg is in vincinity of Bernburg, where Junkers produced the He162 too (Werk-Nr 310XXX)... May be your plane was a model or a test aircraft for the Junkers plant? Pascal |

Wow, a new photograph for me! W.Nr. looks like 120011. Never heard from this plane before.

Re: He 162, Werk-Nr. 12009
Great! I'm still back from a week on holidays... This is a very interesting picture.
Like Simon, I read quit easily 120011 for the W.Nr (a model produced by Heinkel in Rostock). The marking can be also a "NZ"... In this case it means the Stammkennzeichen, NZ+??. It's possible that this plane was delivered and used as model (Muster) by Junkers in Bernburg for is own production ?? We can also note the style of the early camouflage type of the fine, the same as the 120015, 29, 72 and 74 (the last known with this camouflage) Holidays are over, but to discover this new picture makes me the come back easier... ;-) Cheers, Pascal |
