Looking for Photos and Details of the WGr 21 rocket

Hi;

I'm looking for detail photos of the WGr 21 rocket, as would be installed on a Bf 109 or Fw 190 aircraft. I have the usual photos of the rockets in or being installed in tubes, but I am looking for shots that would show stencilling, and also a clear view of the rear of the rocket, showing the arrangement of blast tube(s).

Also, I have read in various sources that the launch tubes were (and were not) droppable after the rockets were fired. Were they indeed droppable, and by what mechanism, and also would they indeed have been dropped, or was it more of a "only if you absolutely have to"?

Thanks!

Paul

Not knowing what references you've referred to, I offer the following:

Re: Looking for Photos and Details of the WGr 21 rocket

Thank you all very much! This certainly fleshes out this weapon system for me. A color picture of a WGr21 mortar with stenciling intact would of course be the icing on the cake, but this gives me what I need to get the job done.

Again, thanks to all who replied, much appreciated!!!
