Fokker D.II Kest 6? Pilot ID?
Hello,
Currently for sale on ebay at : https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-AK-Flug...IAAOSwQc1doKQR is a photo of a Fokker D.II 1559/6, if I read the serial correctly. Looking at the rear of the postcard I believe the unit Kest 6 is mentioned. Where I need help is with the pilots name as I cannot read the script, though safe to say it ends in mann? Can anyone read the name in the top right corner? Regards, Clint |

Re: Fokker D.II Kest 6? Pilot ID?
Hello Clint,
the name is Dohrmann. The aircraft belonged to the contract 1500-1579/16, 80 Fokker D II ordered in August 1916 (source Grosz & Koos "Die Fokker-Flugzeugwerke in Deutschland"). The unit Kest 6 = Kampfeinsitzerstaffel 6. Regards Leo |
