RAF Chivenor 03/07/1943

Hi,

Any details on a 196 Squadron Wellington that over shot its landing on return from a mining sortie. Wellington HZ532 ZO-T.

Summary of No. 196 Squadron for July 1943 has that one aircraft crashed on take from Chivenor for its return flight to own station. "Aircraft badly damaged, crew safe".
Pilot: Sgt. C.H. Kogel; Nav. Sgt. Williams; B/A Sgt. Clarke; WO/AG Sgt. George and ? Sgt. Reeves.

I think the question is what the Chivenor diary says as opposed to the F540? I would guess it says little if at all

Correct, hope the Chivenor Station ORB might add a little. I know the reason it crashed, but hoping for any other snippits.
