VNAF A-1 "Skyraider" 26. Febr. 1962

Two A-1 from the VNAF 1st FS attackted at this day the Präsident Diems Palace in Saigon. The reason was an personal vendetta with one of the Präsidents brothers. One A-1 was shot down by groundfire and the Pilot caputred, the other A-1 escape to Cambodia and crashlanded near Phnom Penh. Are the names and fate from the two Pilots and the serial No. from both A-1 known?

Hans,

Lt Pham Phu Quoc was shot down, Lt Nguyen Van Cu fled to Cambodia, possibly in A-1H 137587.
