Your plane seems to be P-47D-16-RE from 365th FG, 388th FS. I don't know more about the crash.

Air Classics had a series of the 365th FG in 4 issues. I have three of them.

From Air Classics Feb 93

"On an armed reconnaissance ,2nd Lt Richard C Gamble was hit by flak over Stollsberg,Germany. He was vectored just inside friendly lines, and as he preparedto bail out he was bounced by three Bf-109...he bailed out."

Ross, By the way the P-47s that Oblt. Schall claimed on November 6,1944 were from the 356th FG,8th AF.
