Attack on convoy off Noordwijk, January 17 1941
I’m researching air activities around Noordwijk village. It is situated on the Dutch coast, west of Leiden. During the occupation a heavy battery of the German navy was situated to the north of the village. Every now and then the battery and the village were the target of bombs or machine gunfire. Nothing on a large scale however.
Who can tie this incident to a specific allied aircraft? January 17 1941 British aircraft attack a German convoy off the Dutch coast at Noordwijk Dennis |

Re: Attack on convoy off Noordwijk, January 17 1941
Hi Dennis
John Foreman in "1941 The Turning Point - Vol 1" notes that Coastal Command aircraft ( Beauforts & Blenheims) made 2 attacks on a convoy off the Dutch Coast claiming 4 ships sunk. Cheers Bruce Lander |
