Help wanted: Luftwaffe night fighter claims - Eastern Front

Hello!

I'd like to ask, if there were any claims of NJG.5 and NJG.100 pilots at the period from 16/17 Jan 1945 to 31 Jan/1 Feb 1945?

I have no access to the book "Luftwaffe night fighter combat claims 1939-1945" and at GoogleBooks the essential pages are unavailable...

Thanks in advance for any details.

Best regards,
Piotr

Many thanks, Moonraker!

Are these records from "Luftwaffe night fighter combat claims 1939-1945"?

More exactly I'm looking for a claim from the area 15 Ost S: RU / 25 Ost S: RA, ca. mid-January 1945.

A combat (ca. 22-23 hours) and twin-engined Soviet plane shot by night fighter was seen by many witnesses, while downing in flames. 2 or 3 airmen were KIA, one probably bailed out.

With my friends we are conducting field research to investigate the type of the destroyed aircraft.
As I haven't the date confirmed yet, I'm trying know who (and when) had a claim in this area. I know it may be difficult, as late-war German records often doesn’t contain location.

Any suggestion in the subject will be very appreciated.

Best regards,

Piotr

Hi Piotr,

The info comes out the book " Nightfighter Combat Claims 19339-1945 " by John Foreman Johannes Matthews and Simon Parry.
