14-5-43 Do24 NE of Cap Spartimento (poss 272 sqn) any other claims for this type ?

16-5-43 Ju52 S of Sicily(poss 272 sqn) and Go242 Alghero A/D, Any other RAF claims for this date ?

19-5-43 Ju87 Castel Sardo area, two Ju52 Rom-Elams. Any claims for these types ?

20-5-43 Ju52 W of St Eulemine(poss 272) any other claims for this type ?

I gave the info to Taffy Bellis and he wrote down his memories of the incidents (and others he was involved with)

Re: Help with RAF claims MTOfive days in May 43

Logbook saysd Beau 5170. Armed recco. Do 24 off Italy; set F boat on fire.

Next day they got half a Ju 52

In his letter, all he says is the Do 24 came down in the Bay of Naples. The German loss report says NW Cap Spartimento

For 16 May, he says 4 of them got 2 Ju 52s (III/TG 1)

On 22 May, they intercepted a Do 26 (?) but I have asked him if it could have been a Me 323. Trouble is all he can remember is being bounced by II/JG 27 and being shot down (with 2 others) and getting a 109 probable
