Re: Unknown pilot

Hi Byron,

Looks like Ofw Richard HELLER (III/ZG 26) to me.
Photo is from my collection.

Re: Unknown pilot

Dear Aleks,

What do you mean with: "Photo is from my collection"????

Just by coincidence I have also a copy of this picture from the photo album of a III./ZG 26 pilot.

Thanks,

John

Re: Unknown pilot

Dear John,

Not the one attached by Byron but one that I was not able to upload twice.
Don't know why...

Best, Aleks

Re: Unknown pilot

By the way,

Heller's fifth victory (6 April 1941) that make him an ace was not victory at all!
He attacked Royal Yugoslav Bf 109E (2502) while landing at Mostar airfield, fired at it and claim the kill.
Captain Zlatko Stipcic kept calmness during the attack and landed normally. He even not try to made any evasive maneuver since his landing gear and flaps were completely lowered.

Best Regards
Aleks
