Dates of Birth for Three JG 51 Aces

Hi guys

I hope that everyone is doing well. I have been working on the thumbnail biographies of three JG 51 aces - Unteroffizier Hermann Aubrecht (28 victories, DK-G), Fahnenjunker-Oberfeldwebel Josef Gäbl (42 victories) and Oberleutnant Horst Walther (36 victories, DK-G) but there is very little information on these fellows including nothing that I have been able to find regarding their dates of birth in the usual sources such as Jägerblatt. Fortunately, I have been able to find the award dates for the Ehrenpokal and Deutsches Kreuz in Gold for Aubrecht and Walther but I know nothing about any awards that Gäbl may have received. Any pointers would be highly appreciated!

Horrido!

Leo

Leo,

In the index of pilots in Aders & Held Jagdgeschwader 51 "Moelders" it is indicated that Gabl (spelled without umlaut) was awarded the DK, but no dates are given.

Regards,
Tom

Date of Birth for Oberfeldwebel Georg Seidel

Hello guys

Thanks to both of you for your information... Would by any chance the date of birth of Oberfeldwebel Georg Seidel (45 victories, DK-G, killed in action 6 March 1943) be available to anyone? I know that he was born in 1916 but that's it...

Horrido!

24 June 1916 in the NVM or 27 June in the EM-list.
