Re: Update on Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 Wk.Nr. 173056
I would call this plane Flugwerk FW-190A-8/N W.Nr. 173056, for not to mix it up with the real Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 W.Nr. 173056.

Re: Update on Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 Wk.Nr. 173056
I am wondering how this could have anything to do with the original 173056.....

Re: Update on Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 Wk.Nr. 173056
Are Flugwerk W.Nrs. overlapping with Focke-Wulf ones? Or new batch was allocated (as I originally thought)?

Fantastic to see one of these being restored. And in Australia!
I wonder if the post would be better served if it were posted in the Luftwaffe forum ......... Cheers Peter |

Re: Update on Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 Wk.Nr. 173056
Peter, it was in the Luftwaffe forum but was moved to here as this is strictly a postwar restoration. No questions have been asked about its wartime service.

The comment in the link about the blown canopy for tall pilots I believe is incorrect. Wasn't the blown canopy first used of the 'F'?
