Focke Wulf Fw 190 D-9 W. Nr. 210076 “yellow 10” of 11./JG54
First, I wish you all the best you and yours need for this New Year 2009.
Actually, I am still looking for supplemental info covering the Fw 190 D. Can someone point me to a (pictorial?) source or have info on Focke Wulf Fw 190 D-9 W. Nr. 210076 “yellow 10” of 11./JG54. JaPo’s volume I refer to it as possible example of a plane wearing a blue gray (RLM 66?) propeller instead of RLM 70… (see page 47). In the books loss list its pilot, Fw. Karl-Heinz Kreisel is mentioned KIA, crash site Nienborg bei Rheine. Thanks! Very best regards,

Dear Philippe,
The final remains of W.Nr. 210076 were excavated in early 2004. I have large pieces of each of the three propeller blades at home, which clearly show a blue-grey shade that is identical to a related paint chip in the back of the Monogram Luftwaffe Painting Guide. Kind regards, Marc |
