ZG units Order of Battle, Battle of Britain question
Hi all!
Gents, one of my friends (he is working on Bf110 in incoming SoW flight sim) asked me to find out, what modifications were on charge in ZG units at start of Battle of Britain. But as for me, I have info only about Erpr.Gr.210: in july 1./210 with Bf110C-6, Stab./210 and 2./210 with Bf110D-0, 3./210 with Bf109E-4/B; in aug. Stab./210, 1&2./210 with Bf110D-0/D-3, in oct. same Staffeln with many new Bf110E-1. But what with other Gruppen? As far as I know, II./ZG2 had mainly Bf110D-3 (or D-0, most of photoes confirm that). V(Z)./LG1 had also many of Doras. But ZG26, ZG76 - were they manly Bf110C? If yes, what modification? As far as I know, C-4 was not built in large numbers (~150), instead of but C-2 (~350). I believe main modification of rest Zerstorer Gruppen were C-2's. Am I right? Correct me please if not. Does anybody have more certain information? I am interested in two "cut-off" dates: mid-august 1940 and mid-September 1940. Even if detailed numbers for each model for each Gruppe is unknown, what is appear from its losslists?
