2 -- Me-262 photos
The first seems doubtful. The second? New? Reprint?

Re: 2 -- Me-262 photos
Dear Ed,
Thanks for the links. 1st is not doubtful for me: Innsbruck-Hotting and the first time - as far I know - we can see three of them in this row. It will help for identification! 2nd been in auction two or three month ago. I suppose the actual seller is the one who bought them. He wrote original ... Why not? Taken at RCAF staff college in Toronto 47/48. Thanks again for the first photo .. at least Regards, Franck. |

Re: 2 -- Me-262 photos
Dear Franck,
You're welcome. I guess the first one looked like a photostat, which is not used, or rarely used, in the United States, which concerned me. I had not seen the photo from Canada before. Best, Ed |

Re: 2 -- Me-262 photos
Gents,
I have a question on the second link, VH509: Has it's origin (already?) been identified? Acc to LEMB dated 2008, post 8, it is generally believed to be AM52 (Me262A-2a, Yellow 17, WNr.500210 of I./JG7) later VH509, but could probabely be "Me262A, Red 1, unknown WNr., of 10./NG11" maybe assigned to AM79 instead. On the other hand LEMB of 2014, post 6, states that hetherto undocumented AM79 is what was belived to be AM52 before. Nevertheless, what is the origin of VH509, AM52 or AM79 or something else?

Re: 2 -- Me-262 photos
Dear All,
I saved the first photo and played with enhancing it. The "blacked out" area is salvageable. Still, it is a pretty bad looking photo. Regards, Richard |

Any idea what the prefix VH stands for? I'm familiar with T-2 codes and FE codes. Ed |
