April 1,1945 III/KG(J)-27 combat w/ 332nd FG?
THe 332nd FG engaged in combat with large number of enemy A/C- types Me109/Fw190 on April 1,1945. Over all, they claimed twelve enemy aircraft.
According to LW records, at least two LW Fw-190D-9 ,Werke No 500 648 & 500 658, belonging to III/KG(J)-27 were lost in combat. Was KG(J)27 the unit that engaged the 332nd FG in combat? The 332nd FG lost two P-51s in this combat with both pilots KIA.
