Escorted to Manston by F/L A J Andrews of 91 "Nigeria" sqn. Caldwell suggests this was 1st claim. Unconfirmed claim 13.1.43/1435 B-17F-27-BO Flying Fortress Lille 41-24601 of 365th BS, 305th BG. 1/Lt. Conrad J Hilbinger and crew all KIA. Attributed to Flak.
