Shot Down B-24-15th AF - 47th Bomber Wing

German pictures of a B-24 with early 47th Bomber Wing markings and RAF fin flash. Given the RAF fin flash and the 47th BW markings, I would conjecture that it is the time period Nov 43- Jan 44. This could probably make it a 98th or 376th B-24. Any ideas? Notice how the RAF fin flash is repeated on the inside of the tail rudder.

I know about 3 natural metal B-24J with white 'N' in 98 BG, but this was a painted one. I must look into the earlier B-24Ds...

98 BG B-24D-125-CO, S/N: 42-41011 white 'N', 'Idiot's Dee-Light' was lost on May 24, 1944 over Austria with William J. Shaughnessy, Jr. crew. Perhaps this was it.
