Re: Luftwaffe manufacture controll stamps / codes

I have located a Bf 109 F parts list manual. It is very large and covers the aircraft section by section. The numbers will require proper interpretation or an expert here can help sort out what numbers (plus letter) identify which parts. In any case, here it is:

Ed. These are inspector stamps numbers, I think each inspector had his own number,
these are not part numbers.

Re: Luftwaffe manufacture controll stamps / codes

Correct Ed N, its is inspection / approval stamps / codes on parts. i had hoped to find information if K vas used only by WNF P by Me V by Erla or similar. As Bf109 G2 14055 is a " parts bin spesial " from Erla in Antwerpen is had ben great to found what is was built on / of.

Re: Luftwaffe manufacture controll stamps / codes

I might say what I know. I have collected a lot of dataplate pictures from eBay, internet etc, and been privately forwarded a great many from a great collector.

In Ju 88 research on plates letters usually stood for first letter of factory, J Dessau, B Bernburg, Bd5 Bernburg, S Siebel, H Heinkel, OK4 Opel, H Henchel (logostamp with H) but I have seen source on internet on this matters, somone was asking on small stams and showing samples, but its not in "my favourites" list.

As you are in a WW2 parts rich country, I suggest you contact all your friends and start a research. Seriously. But beaware, fraud plates are out and about. Replica (fake) plates were made in Gardermoen some years ago.
