Flight Officer D.S. ROBERTS - USAAF
Chorley's Volume 4 page 176:
F/O D.S. ROBERTS - USAAF - 2nd pilot on Halifax HR852/D of 51 Sqn failed to return 11/12-6-1943 from a raid on Düsseldorf. All crew PoW. Looking for a possible crash location and more info on F/O Roberts (can't find his name in any US enlistment- /pow-listing - were initials correct ??). Regards, Henk. |

Henk,
A wrong initial indeed. It's F/O Braxton S. Roberts, ,T190800, originally from Missouri. He was reported POW on 12 June 1943. According to his POW File he was held at Stalag Luft 3 first and later was moved to Nürnberg. Groet, Leendert |

Just to add that Braxton Spencer Roberts was born on 7 Sep 1920 and has died in July 1970. Source: Social Security Death Index. Groet, Leendert |
