Identity and fate of Luftwaffe airman?

Hi

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Can anyone provide a name for this airman and hopefully fate around him.

I find it very difficult to read the script.

Thanks

Rick

Hi Rick,

Larry deZeng and I have written a history of the unit, Stabsstaffel Fliegerführer Afrika, which is available free to download on this page.

Cheers,

Ah OK thanks Leo! I thought I saw Schopfheim too, but I thought: "that I so far away from both the birthplace and death place!"

Kind regards, Timon

Re: Identity and fate of Luftwaffe airman?

This Ofw Winterhalder was born at Hohentwiel/Singen and not at Donebach. Also his loss was at Jüterbog Altes Lager and not at Dresden. Maybe not correct man, although the burial place fits?
