Meaning of FSD-M in Junkers documents
Hello,
Does anybody know the exact meaning of FSD-M in Junkers documents? I thought M was referring to Merseburg, but I am not sure anymore. D could well be Dessau like in JFD (Junkersflugzeugwerke Dessau). Thanks, Roger |

Hello
FSD : Flugzeug Stammwerk Dessau -M : may be Magdeburg, but I have no proof. Do you have an example of such a document ? Regards Jean Schreiber |

Merseburg definitely. Was a dispersal of the main plant Dessau (FSD) and was commercially part of it, officially called "Baustelle Merseburg".

Re: Meaning of FSD-M in Junkers documents
Hello Jean and Peter,
Thank you very much for your information. Flugzeug Stammwerk Dessau makes very much sense for the abbreviation FSD. Peter, if in a document only 'FSD' was indicated (e.g. as the location of an aircraft), could it have also been Merseburg? Or was it definately Dessau? Thanks, Roger |

Re: Meaning of FSD-M in Junkers documents
Correct spelling for FSD is "Flugzeugbau Stammwerk Dessau"
FSD means (mostly) that the aircraft was in Dessau. Depends on the context of the document. Which aircraft is it? |
