K.Gr.z.b.V. 5 Verlustmeldung

Hi all, browsing through KTB of K.Gr.z.b.V. 5 I found an entry that I do not quite understand – under 28.4.43 (Samorsk) there is:

Verlustmeldung: Uffz. Rödel, Gefr. Kalweit, Uffz. Welten, Uffz. Richter, Fw. Tywa (Flugplatz Sarabus).

No further details. A/c crash, losses on the ground?

Were crew of a He 111 of 2./KG 27 crashing after take off on 27.4.43. All on board belonged to K.Gr.z.b.V. 5

Thank you John, I wonder what the unfortunates were doing in K.G. 27 a/c.
Überführungsflug maybe?

Two weeks earlier two a/c of z.b.V. 5 landed in Sarabus following combat sortie. This is the second time Sarabus is mentioned in KTB. No other entries with this name.

it was a combat sortie, target - airfield Kropotkin.

For z.b.V. 5 the targets for 27. and 28.4.43 are according to KTB – Ukrainskij and Noworossijsk. Nachteinsatz on Bhf. Kropotkin is mentioned on 12.4.43, after this mission 2 crews of z.b.V. 5 landed in Sarabus.

Just realized I have KG 27 Chronik on the shelf There is indeed entry for this crew on 27.4.43 (H-6, W.Nr. 7233, Sarabus) but it is contradicting with KTB z.b.V. 5. that says 7233 was involved in accident in Samorsk, rammed by W.Nr. 7200.

KTB: Nachteinsatz [27./28.4]: 1 Flugzeug nach Erfüllung des Auftrages beim Durchstarten ein zweites Flugzeug (Nr. 7233) gerammt und verbrannt (2 Tote, 2 Schwerverletzte, 1 Leichtverletzter). [H-6, 7200, Spengler, Witt, Breit, Maier, Herring].

Yes, it's a confusing case. According to Matti Salonen (NVM?), the plane took off at 00:01 27.4.43. But according to KGr zbV5's Erfolgsmeldung, the crash was at night 27/28.4.43, and nothing about Kropotkin.
