Re: Werft

Hi Franck,

My guess would be that the designation "E 2/VII" is the same as the one used for airfields, so this would be München-Riem.
According to Larry deZeng's masterpiece on Luftwaffe Airfields 1939-1945, the airfield command of München-Riem had the designation Fl.H.Kdtr. E 2/VII during July-August 1941.

Re: Werft

Hello Tomislav,
Interesting.
So that 2./JG27 machine was sent at München during September 1940?

Re: Werft

There's also this (https://www.ww2.dk/ground/flibo/kfb/2-7.html) from which Bad Aibling looks like a possibility.

It was quite common at that time for aircraft from units based in France to be sent back to Germany for repair and maintenance.

Re: Werft

Thank you Nick for the link.
Then, this raises a question: What's the difference between E 2/VII and A 2/VII ? ...
Edited:
Think I found an answer.
