Looking for damage report on I./KG 53 aircraft
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a damage report on Emil Allmendinger's A1+AB (I./KG 53) for the night of 21-22 July 1941. I would like to know the Wr.Nr. and level of damage to the aircraft, if possible. Thanks in advance oquaig |

Re: Looking for damage report on I./KG 53 aircraft
Several He 111 are listed 22.07.41 in GQM as from I/KG 53, maybe the experts can find it, but they need more info - as if this crew was not injured, its not listed, and if a/c not missing code not recorded. Else a piece of cake to find :-)

Re: Looking for damage report on I./KG 53 aircraft
Since there is no aircraft specifics or damage as Rottler reports, the damage was probably minimal (<10%), but the casualty warranted being included in the GQM listings, a fairly common occurrence. You may need the WASt casualty report to get the other information.

Re: Looking for damage report on I./KG 53 aircraft
the crew of 1. Staffel Staka Emil Allmendinger was from the beginning of the war till this moment in time more or less the same.
FF: Ofw. Willi Haug; BO: Ofw. Alfred Sticht; BF: Ofw. Hans "Hannes" Dünfelder; BM: Ofw. Hans Höfler; BS: Uffz. Martin Lehner. (KIA 30.03.1942) Alfred Sticht reports on their first attack on Moskau on July 21th. They are hit by Flak, but make it back to Minsk-Dubinskaya (see Kiehl page 147-149). The base they started from. supposedly the only He111 (A1+AB) that returned with damage. The next day they fly again with this machine to attack Moskau. None of the crew got injured and the plane must have been repaired within a day for a second attack on Moskau. I believe one of the A1+AB had the WkNr. 4442. Don't know if this is the one that attacked Moskau. hope this helps. Kind regards, Thomas
