72 Squadron Expert needed

Does anyone on the forum know of a 72 Sqd Researcher / Expert whom i could make contact with concerning a 72 Sqd Pilot ?

I've sent a link to this thread a former colleague of mine who may be able to help, he's secretary of the 72 Sqn association and a keen historian too.

Thank you Siko54, a friend of mine believe to have found the crash site of P/O Robert Connon (72 squadron), died on january 31 1945. A witness say that Connon survived the crash, was helped by him to get out from a large canal, but died later the same in an air raid in Padua. He would have a picture of the pilot to recognise his face

I have a reply from my friend, he said the following about him: Connon was hit by flak and had the tail of his Spitfire PV123 blown off. Crashed out of control in the River Adige. he asked me to pass on his email address but not in public, if you pm me I'll reply with it.
