Re: B-17 losses 01 Dec 43

Michel,

If you mean only over the Netherlands, then 42-3559 and 42-31097 (SGLO database).

Some five more over Belgium...

Regards,

Leendert

B-17 losses in Belgium on 1 Dec 1943 are well described here: https://luchtvaartgeschiedenis.be/se...ode/01-12-1943

They were 42-30033 (heading says "B-17 at Sijsele", this must be "near Leisele"), 41-24557 at Snellegem, 42-29768 near Watou (also see https://384thbombgroup.com/_content/...ftKey=42-29768) and 42-3540 near Jehay-Bodegnée.

The B-17 at Alken was not lost, but part of crew had jumped out over Belgium. B-17 made it back to Manston, England.

Regards,
Leendert
