The Cornish Studies Library in Redruth has photos of crashes and bomb damage but whether Falmouth is included is another matter. My book 'Luftwaffe Fighter Bombers over Britain' has quite a bit on the attacks on Cornwall by fighter bombers in 1942

the Cornish Studies Library is to be my next port of call so that's good to know, thanks.

I will check the libraries for your book (working on a tiny budget)

on another note, I don't suppose you would be able to help me pin down the exact date of the last air raid on the UK (excluding v2, doodlebug etc)?

thanks again

Last raid was on Monday March 20th 1945. As Mosquitos were returning from a raid on Berlin in the evening, German intruders mingled with the returning bombers. Airfields at Bottesford, Shipdham, Swanton Morley and Wendling were attacked.

Sean.
