Thumbs up Uffz Heinrich Küppers from F.L.Ü.G.

Seeking more Information Uffz Heinrich Küppers from F.L.Ü.G.1.
He made on 29 July 1944 an emergency landing with the Fw 190 A 8, No. 174126 near Eschwege.

On 23. September 1944 he had to make an emergency landing due to fuel shortages near Hohenwestedt. Flown by him on that day was a Fw 190 A-8 with the serial Number 171 152.

On 05. December 1944 this Fw 190 A-8 with the serial Number 171 152 was lost after combat with P 51 from Uffz Helmut Werner 3./JG 1 at Fürstenwalde.

On 20. January 1945 - 2./Fl.ÜG 1 East, FW 190 D-9 / R11, 211 044 crash
Stadtroda Pilot – Uffz Heinrich Küppers.

Has Küppers survived the war?

Re: Uffz Heinrich Küppers from F.L.Ü.G.

Dear Peglar,

I do not know whether Uffz. Küppers survived the war, but Fw 190D-9, W.Nr. 211044 was found, stripped, at Weimar airfield on 12 April 1945 by elements of the 80th U.S. Infantry Division.

The fact that the aircraft was moved from its crash site and stripped of its useful parts leads me to believe that Uffz. Küppers' crash landing may not have been overly serious, and that he likely survived.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Marc
