Book "Target England" Edmund Blandford

Hi guys

I'm seeking your judgement of the 1997 book 'Target England' by the late Edmund Blandford. It contains many first-hand accounts from Luftwaffe airmen during the Battle of Britain period, but annoyingly they are identified only by pseudonyms.

Are they factual? Can they be identified? Blandford's dedication reads "I would like to express my thanks to all those ex-members of the German Luftwaffe without whose assistance this book would not have been possible"

Comments appreciated

Take care, stay safe
Brian

Brian C knows this but why not use their names? Very suspect in my opinion and the author can no longer defend himself (which he appears not to when alive according to Brian Bines)

Re: Book "Target England" Edmund Blandford

The 'Target England' book that I know is the one written by Derek Wood that came out in 1980. When I came to give a title to my book on Erprobungsgruppe 210, my first thought, given the unit's emblem, was Target England, but remembered that there was alreay a book of that name, so I came up with 'Bombsights over England'. Given that books and titles are normally copyrighted, I'm surprised a second book came out with the same title 17 years later...

John,

Titles are usually trademarked. Contents are copyright. I have seen other examples of books with the same title. Technically, legal action could occur.
