Could someone please identify this aircraft and maybe Unit/Location?
I'm still working my way through hundreds of images I have of the 325th FG and in this image some of the crew are pictured standing on a Luftwaffe aircraft. By the look of the tail it has had plenty of MG practice but the details are very clear.
Could someone please identify the aircraft (type) and then maybe clarify the unit and maybe how it was lost? Just interested to know as much as possible. Cheers, Neil Last edited by Mysticpuma; 30th March 2018 at 14:57. |

Hi Neil,
The aircraft type is Ju 52, but I can't tell you much about the unit. Cheers, Roger |

Ju 52 WNr. 5906 W3H means 3./KGrzbV Wittstock, destroyed in a bomb attack at Tunis 22.01.43.

Neil
I also believe the digits 700 stand for KGrzbV 700. This unit is actually listed as KGrzbV 700 (Wittstock) in my sources. Cheers Stig |

Thank you, very much appreciate the information. Always interesting to find out more about the contents of a private collection of photos. Cheers, Neil
