Re: Ju 88 1943 defection to RAF Dyce

Thank you Rainer, That was new to me.

Dear Alanatabz, I have the book 'The great coup' and the author tells what the crew was thinking and feeling (without ever been in contact with them). The author was a journalist and a good writer, but it is still a fairytale

Re: Ju 88 1943 defection to RAF Dyce

Karl Paul Rosenberger was born on 16 Oct 1913 in Brünn. He became a Naturalised British Subject on 20 Oct 1954 (see http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ls/r/C12364007) and used the alias Helmut Paulsen. He married Joan M. Lewis (or Paulsen) at Hendon in early 1954 (according to the England & Wales Civil Registration Marriage Index).

There is a Helmut Paulsen listed in the England & Wales Index of Wills and Administrations, who died on 10 January 1993 at Villa Andalucia, Pasaje San Emilio 101. Probate Llandaff on 13 July 1993: £21273.

But more interesting is that there appears to be a file about him in the SOE records held by the National Archives: http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ls/r/C14207543
