Complete catalog - all airfields of the Luftwaffe

Even those that were only intended to be used. German language with a map and other data to pinpoint locations.

Unfortunately, the publisher's site, VDM Heinz-Nickel, does not allow for a direct google link to the book. Just enter the following title or author's name:

Flugplätze der Luftwaffe 1934-1945, Jürgen Zapf

Re: Complete catalog - all airfields of the Luftwaffe

Here's a translation from the VDM Heinz-Nickel site:

Complete Catalog - Encyclopedia of all airports from A - Z

Airfields of the Air Force 1934 - 1945 and what remains of it - Jürgen Zapf

Lexicon of all airports from A-Z: The 2000 published the first of now six volumes of the series of airfields of the Air Force from 1934 to 1945 and what was left of it was the first author presented a summarized history of the airfields of the Air Force in a region. Previous releases were in the main, the chronicle of an Air Force Association or his own personal experience in the Air Force to content. Few other publications related to the history of a single airfield of the Air Force or the history of commercial airports. On request from the diverse group of readers for an overview of all the airfields of the Air Force was created with this book, an encyclopedia of all places in the power area of the German Empire on the eve of the Second World War. Lists all the places between 1934 - 1945 were used, at least temporarily by the Air Force, or were intended to be used. Brings the lexicon character of the work with it here is that the listed places are just described. Each place is listed with exact longitude and latitude coordinates, the classification (eg as airfield, airfield, etc.), a description of its local position and a brief description of its history. A part of the picture with documents, aerial photographs and various pictures of some places then and now, some in color decides the band. The detailed description including the precise details of the use by the Air Force as well as aerial photographs and other images is reserved to the volumes of the series. Author: Jürgen Zapf
