DO-17 3445 KG 2
Hi ,
On 30/08/1940 Do-17 Z werknumber 3445 from 4./KG 2 code U5+MM was lost near Namur Belgium. Who were the crew and what happened with them ? |

3345/U5+MM came down near Namur. No crew casulaties hence no names

Alain, Chris , According to the book BoBTN page 599 Lt Sachse was killed, with 3 nco's wounded! 26.8.40.

26-08-40 is the correct date and the WNr. is 3345. The WNr. was corrected in the loss report from 05-Sep. 1940. Chris is correct no casualties, therefor no names.

Hang on Guys
I hate loose ends. Why does BoB Now and then state an individual killed and 3 NCO's wounded if nobody was hurt? If untrue, where does Lt Sachse and his crew belong in such a case?? Cheers Stig |

According to the QMG's returns, Sachse was 7/KG 3 and if you look at BoBT&N, it says Sachse for 4/KG 2 and 7/KG 3. KG 2 history does not give a name for the crew......................
