Access to USAAF service records?

Researching a couple of Danes, who enlist in the USAAF I wondered if it is possible to access service records. I found the following information on access by the General Public
http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/mil...al-public.html

Are any of you experiences with this service?

Mikkel

It is generally permissible to access only if you are a direct relative.

Re: Access to USAAF service records?

Hi
I used one about five years ago, but it was an e mail to a person at hoffman.army.mil

http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...ty/hoffman.htm

I was only allowed two free requests.

The files released under FOI act were good quality information.

For info I am not related to the people I requested infomation on, you just have to phrase the request the correct way.

Cheers
Jerry
