2nd Air Commando Group Burma 1945
The group destroyed and damaged several Japanese aircraft in the air and on the ground in Burma and Thailand in 1945. I know these are detailed in Chris Shores et al. book "Bloody Shambles" but my copy is in my loft and my leg is encased in plaster from the knee down (work injury)
Could you chaps supply me with some details of these claims, including the Japanese opponents? I am using my time off work to make up a model of a P-51D of this group and some extra details would be nice. I think there are only about four or five aerial engagements and airfield raids. many thanks Keith |

Re: 2nd Air Commando Group Burma 1945
Hi Keith. There is an outline of 2ACG ops. HERE starting p.40, lots of very nice photos.
You have no doubt seen Study 85 victory list for the Group, total 7.99 in the air ? I've got a list of the Mustangs on the big mission of 15 March with plane numbers and unofficial claims recorded by a pilot (mostly ground but 3 air) if you want to see.
