Crash Locations 20 Dec 43

401 Sqn lost Fg Off Buck Buckles in RN629 (near Chievres due to return fire from a Ju 188 of 1./KG 6) and Flt Sgt J J Morrissey in MJ172 and Plt Off Norm Maybee in MB845 (collided 6 miles south of Gravelines). Anyone have more accurate locations for the crashes?

Re: Crash Locations 20 Dec 43

The same day a Ju188 of 1./KG6 was shot down, killing three of its crew, by a 401 Squadron pilot. The plane crashed near Chievres. And he still invited another nember of the same unit for lunch ?

I believe Fuhrhop invited Buckles to the Mess so yes it happened. He was not the pilot credited with the Ju 188
