There is this table , which in excerpt looks like the quote below.
My quetion now is: Are these high numbers realistic? Altogether, it would mean that
- the VVS had 9200 A/C on the western part of the USSR
- 1200 AC = one quarter of the fighters were MiG, Yak, LaGG
Is that realistic?
Especially strange I find that single xAP's have such high numbers of planes. 60 or even mroe are nothing special, while later in teh war the VVS had xAP's with 20-40, sometimes even less AC.
